We have had a successful two days with Marius. He is looking better, even if it's just a little bit! He had his teeth brushed and his hair was spiked up (don't know if it was on purpose or not, but he looked so cute!) He has also been responding more too!

Tuesday we weren't planning on staying very long because we thought he might still be resting from his surgery, but as soon as we got in there we stayed the whole time. He loves our laptops but we hadn't gotten the movies working yet so he played pinball and solitaire with Ashley on her computer. He seemed to enjoy both! He then asked to play with the balloon. He loves to hit it with his little palms. We tell him every time that he is so strong and that he is building his muscles. I think he really likes that thought and he is always stretching his arm up and down so that he can get stronger. He always asks us to count how many times he hits it. It's easy to count to twenty in Romanian pretty fast, but after that it's hard to keep up with him. I have missed a couple numbers here and there....hopefully he hasn't noticed :). On Tuesday he also wouldn't give us the balloon back. He got a kick out of holding it against the wall with one of his arms. I would go in to get it and he would swat at me with his other arm or he would hold it even tighter against the wall. He would let go of it for two seconds and I would try to get it really fast, but he was faster. It was so cute to see him laugh and smile. On Tuesday we also colored with him. He started with the markers in his mouth, but he gets tired fairly easy and then he wants us to color for him. He will tell us what color he wants and where he wants it. Since it was the day after the surgery he was still in a lot of pain. He kept complaining that his back hurt. There wasn't much Ashley and I could do. We did go and tell the Doctor, but he said he had just given him some pain medication and couldn't give him anymore. We felt so bad for Marius and there really wasn't anything we could do. We tried to keep him busy and occupied, but towards the end he started crying. Ashley and I went back to the Doctors and told them that he was crying and that he was in pain. They finally came and gave him more medicine and within minutes he was asleep. Besides Marius being in pain, Tuesday was a pretty great day and I felt like we were really helping him by being there.

Wednesday was a really great day too! They had taken off his head bandages and he looked fairly good. He also didn't complain about any pain. We finally got the movies working on Ashley's computer and we were so excited to show them to him. He has been asking for Tom and Jerry for the last week and we finally got some episodes! Teo helped us with getting everything! On Tuesday she took us to her house to use her internet because ours wasn't working. She got us all set up to play the movies and was a total life saver. We love her! Anyway, Ash and I brought popcorn and skittles for everyone in the room and the movies. It was like our own little movie theater! Marius loved Tom and Jerry and laughed a lot. Ionut was there too. We gave him popcorn and skittles too. He didn't eat the popcorn though :). In Romania they call popcorn floricele which means little flowers. Cute, huh? Ionut also looked way happy to see Marius laughing and that made Ash and I happy. We weren't sure if Ionut liked having us there when he was there, but he said it was totally fine. Teo stopped by for a bit too to hang out. It was fun to have so many people there. Marius didn't really notice though because he was watching the movies :). There are no chairs by any of the beds so Ashley and I rolled one of the beds in the room right next to Marius's bed so that we could sit on it to hold the computer. We got a lot of funny looks, but the doctors and nurses didn't care so we were happy!

Ashley and I feel so at home in Marius's room and we spend everyday in there with him! We want him to be as comfortable as he can with us and really like us we think it's working! Thank for all you guys do! We love you!
